So are you going to sell your "parts" or not? What's with you?

The patent expiration is not necessarily what most owners are waiting for. Alot of the legitimate owners out there are waiting for a scapegoat to come forward to be sacrificed by WB. Since alot of people have generally accepted that the first gophers to pop their head out of the hole are going to be mauled, many people are hesitant to do so. But do not worry - more people are preparing to come out of hiding. In fact, check out the new pictures on the 1989 BATMOBILE page of my site.

Not that it really makes any difference, but DC Comics, Inc. is the one who held the design patent for the 1989 Batmobile. As far as I know, Warner Bros. only has copyrights on the movie, script, title, etc. I don't know if that means they have copyrights on the costumes, props or the car and if they do, what that means exactly.
Personal opinion... I don't think replica owners have anything to worry about.

Hey there Tim... Could you shoot an e-mail to me at justin@walker-associated-divisions.com ? I would love to talk a little more with you if I could get the chance. Thought I had your e-mail address saved somewhere - turns out I don't. Thanks!
