On batmobilehistory.com I found mentioned that a 1973 Ford Mustang without any modifications was used in several comic books.

Also used in the Gotham TV show. I'm not a big stang fan myself but I know a lot of people love them.

If the pattinson batmobile is proved to be built on a Mustang it won't be the first.

A Mustang Hides Underneath This Batmobile Cloak
By Charles Dean - October 10, 2017
"Craigslist ad (sadly gone now) featuring a 1987 Ford Mustang customized to look like the famous Batmobile."

Based on the C Pillar and sail panel, I'm seeing 69-79 Mustang coupe.

I'm leaning towards 69-70 because of what appears to be a shorter vehicle length.
I'm also seeing an influence of the 71-74 AMC Javelin AMX with the wheel arches.
It also reminds me of a rear engined Trophy Truck or Local Motors' Rally Fighter.

New Batmobile Is More Pantera Than Tumbler
A grittier, more grounded Batmobile for Robert Pattinson
Alex KiersteinWordsMar 4, 2020
"What we can see resembles a lot of different classic muscle cars, and that's probably intentional. The deeply recessed front headlamps have a generic late 1960s look to them: a bit of Mopar, a bit of Mustang, maybe even a hint of De Tomaso Mangusta. Extremely swoopy rear fenders with pointed trailing ends that hang over three-element taillights are the closest thing we get to a traditional Batmobile motif. The rear tubes of a roll cage poke through the C-pillars and trailing edges of the roof. It is likely completely custom bodywork over a tube frame or donor chassis, so there's probably not a single recognizable base underpinning this creation.
Usually several movie cars are built for various purposes: stunt cars that can take a jump without disintegrating, hero" cars that look good in close-ups, and set/drive car mockups.
This is probably a "hero" car, so the wild-looking engine might not even be what actually provides any power."

Many of those posting online believe the Pattinson/Reeves batmobile as it currently exists will continue to evolve through the Batman trilogy into a sleeker Batmobile. Perhaps such, as this transitional image circulating online.

www.motor1.com Circular structure in the center could be some sort of afterburner.
The roof is very short because the entire rear section of the vehicle is exposed to make room for the massive engine. The powerplant dominates the view from the rear. The engine has a massively angled V, and our team is at odds about whether we count four or five coilpacks on each side, which means the mill is either a V8 or V10. Look closely, and you can notice that the exhausts exit vertically on each side.
We theorize the circular structure in the center could be some sort of afterburner since this is such an iconic part of the Batmobile.
Looking past the engine, you can get a glimpse of the interior, and it looks like this Batmobile is taking a step back in time in terms of the appearance. There's a fairly small screen in the center of the dashboard, but the no other obvious high-tech toys.
The tubular supports running from the roof to the rear fenders are another neat touch. Not only do they look functional, but the styling also evokes the flying buttresses on the latest Ford GT.

After studying the attached photo-image up close it looks like the motor1 afterburner observation is very probable. I can almost see the afterburner nozzles around the inside edge.

The structure of the valve cover and heads would seem to indicate V10
