Yesterday afternoon I went to Doug Hines shop and put a down payment on my 1989 Kit. Doug said that I am the youngest person to buy a kit from him which I think is pretty cool. I bought my donor car at age 15 and will be buying another donor in a few weeks. At age 17 I bought some of the parts needed for my build such as the dash and a few mechanical pieces. Now at 20 years old I have bought my 89 kit and will hopefully be getting it in a few weeks. Thank you everyone who has shared information about the Keaton car because I wouldn't have been able to do it with out you all.
I will be posting progress and pictures on my cosplay page https://www.facebook.com/OutsidersCosplay/

Thanks for the pictures. They are VERY interesting to me because it looks like the body is molded in several pieces and then joined together after the parts are removed from the mold. Can anyone confirm this? The reason I'm interested is I will be completing my DOJ mold this summer and thinking about pulling a full body out of the mold would be very heavy. If I break it up into smaller sections it would be more manageable.

Holy crap that was fast haha, so your kit is already pulled from the mold? Are they doing filler touch ups? Or is it good to go?
Also what kit is that next to your 89 kit in the first pic?

those are pictures from dougs shop he said the kit next to mine is an older cobra kit... He broke the molds into parts so that it wouldnt break coming out of the mold. He has another place that does the molding so they transport the pieces to him and he puts them back together like a puzzle. He did the lines pretty good on the kit but i will still need to do the body work. So far we will be picking up my kit March 7th.
