I have the center bolt in black so far, waiting on my 5-bolt crankcase guard in black to arrive that goes behind it and bolts to steering wheel & hub... I'd be happy to measure the center hex and all once I get home.
on the rest I'd have to do some measurements to help confirm for you... shouldn't be too hard.

I am no help on the measurements, sorry. Not too worried about the center parts as they can be purchased. More concerned with the tapered control knobs as I've searched quite a bit with no luck.

Right now, the closest thing I can find that might work is a tapered brass coupling with a knurled nut on top. Would give the right look.

Yeah, maybe. I'm just not satisfied. The part shown is obviously a single piece. I even looked for military knobs and couldn't find it. Closest thing I could find is a bell center punch. But I couldn't find one small enough. And it's not quite right anyway.
Maybe Vertigo manufacturing it would be our best bet.
The base of the knurled knob you see on the movie correct steering wheel is the raised base of the switches on the plastic Thrust steering wheel and measures .660" in diameter.
I calculate the taper and knurled portions of the switch to measure .500-.750" in length.
I calculate the knurled portion as .375" (3/8') in diameter and 3/16" in length.
Do you agree or do you have different measurements? vertigo
I think you're right on with that Vert. When do you think you'll give it a try?

hey Sly and THEMAN,
Ordered some 3/4" 2011 aluminum bar stock last night. Probably a week before I get it.
Note: 2011 is the most machinable aluminum.
Also want to try for an exact 1:1 life size photo-image match, or at least equalize the two with a common scale, of the Thrust and movie correct.
I've been in a few movie prop shops over the years and they all had lathes and milling machines that get a lot of use.
My gut feeling is that they machined these themselves.
If you look at "Myth Busters" TV show, in the back ground you can see their tool and shop setups.
Quite revealing if you watch the show while focusing on the background.
I fast forward through the drama and BS and have picked up a lot of information on prop building that is useful to Bat Vehicle building. vertigo

Glad to hear it brother. Hopefully you'll be willing to make some extras that some of us less talented folks can buy.
Happy Thanksgiving btw.

Looks like most of the side mechanics are motorcycle parts.

totally agree sly, I know there has to be some rear sets in there, but hadn't gone through them to figure out which one yet, plus just one rear set runs over $500... so was figuring on that being another 3d print project, since 500 on non-structural parts could go way more towards my rear-end needs. May get a few more of the genuine small bits to mix in if I can though.

hey THEMAN,
Did you ever receive the Rizoma clutch cover?
If so would you mind taking a measurement of the overall outside dimension?
Would much appreciate it.
