Hi Everyone,

As most of you know I posted up the 3D (STL) files for the side mechanics a while back so that you could print out a set for yourselves. Of course plastic 3D printing can be expensive.... but I kinda put 2 & 2 together today when I was looking at different Pepakura tutorials

For those who don't know what Pepakura is you can check out this good introductory video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAJl3ty-gVg

I was thinking someone could likely follow the tutorial posted in the above link and create a really nice set of side mechanics this way! Then just add some resin hardener to finish them off.

It just came to me today so I thought I would post up the idea to see if someone wanted to give it a try

Cheers,

Tim

Neat idea and I'd love to see a finished set. Gotta say, though, your 3D set looks amazing.

I was just telling my wife that the side mechanics would be a simple way to start my build while we finish house renovations. And I had only started researching getting a set printed here in Australia and then read your post - cheers!

Thank you posting these files. Getting a quote for prints. Has anyone had them printed yet and do they know how much it ran?

Thanks for the info! Do you remember the place you had them printed?
