Hey everyone.
So just as I thought I got things sorted and planning to start the actual build, I had another small setback...
Well this one was my fault and Ive been trying to work around it the last few months as I did not want to go thru all the hassle of moving cars that I bought a long while ago but was forced to do so this month as the property I had these stored on was sold so I had no choice...
And so I had to get everything out of there and put into my garages at home so I can try sort out and get rid of them easier that way...

The plan is simple now, see if there is anything that I need for my build, otherwise just get rid of them or cut them to pieces and see for scrap...

It was a little tricky getting 8 cars into that small space but we made a plan and now my empty garage has now just become a small dump yard behind closed doors...
But I have some interest in some of them so hopefully I can just clear out as fast as possible...

Just some idea of how I need to literally climb over the cars themselves to move...
Front row:VW Beetle, Audi A4, Audi TT
Mid row: Volvo 122, VW Beetle
Back row: 2x Pickup chassis and VW Beetle all stacked on top of each other...
Back of the house: 2x Classic Mini's that the kids wanted as 'race cars'... So I have some more work to do...

Hi all.

Ok so the prep side of things has been going a bit slower now that I have started building...
But when I cant do anything on the build I still have other things to do...

Now, one of the biggest issues I have at the moment is that we have something called LOAD SHEDDING...
Now this causes major delays in anything that anybody does on a daily basis and affects any planning you have or had and here is why...
Load Shedding is just that, it is State Controlled Power Outages for a duration of time (Mostly 2 hours runs) as there are problems with the power generation units...

So what does this mean for the average person?
Well Load Shedding usually happens about 2 or 3 times a day (2 hours each time)
So on average if I get home at around 6pm, we could either have Load Shedding from 6 till 8 or maybe from 8 till 10, and so forth.
Making life, building, prep or anything a bit difficult especially trying to get the kids bathed, fed, and homework done before it startes.

Now yes the easy option is get an inverter or generator, and we do have one, but only big enough to run a few lights in the house and plugs.

So...
Planning as best as you can, they can change the schedule in a split second and what you had planned is now no more... But we do what we can while we can...

And so I had an hour each night this week before the lights went out (After the kids were sorted out of course and in bed...)
Decided to fill all my small bottles of glue. Just easier when I work and dont need to open the big 5kg tub and delay what Im busy with...
And then I just started getting my resin pre weighed out in 500ml tums. Again, for time constraints...
And lastly I got some fiberglass matting prepped out too...

Hey Sly.
Yeah its had some ups and downs...
This is all due to a lack of maintenance on their behalf and they left it for so long, that when they fix the problem then something else breaks... Frustrating to say the least...

I will say that there are times and days that we dont get affected at all, but then some weeks its a few days in a row and it becomes quiet annoying...

Nothing that we can do about it now other than wait and work around it as best as we can...

Hey all.
Been a busy few weeks...
First my MD went on holiday for 3 weeks so I had my hands full at work.
Kids that have been sick and me trying to just stay mentally stable...

But all that aside I did make a small amount of progress during all this...
I managed to see the one Beetle and got rid of the Volvo for scrap. So now there is a small amount of light starting to shine at the end of the tunnel...

I also managed to get some other prints done but have not cut them out yet, so that will be soon...
And think I have found a differential... Will go have a look and hoping it will be what I need...
