There were only ever two full cars built for Tim Burton's Batman back in 1989. Andy Smith (one of the build team) even confirmed this himself on this very board and that WB still has them too.

"When I was there [Warner Bros] both of the 89 cars were there, one on show and one in Corporate archives with the #6 Tumbler".

Here is the car in-action at the Six Flags New England stunt show. Check the windshield crack and rivets, the huge gash down the middle for the canopy track, and the oddly kicked up right fender.

Not that the auctioneer hasn't already exhaustively matched this car to the stunt show set, tee hee.

How a non-running stunt shell from the 1989 film in London became a running stunt show vehicle at Six Flags I guess we'll never know.

Great work finding that video. So it is screen matched to YouTube! The listing is rather entertaining, he is trying really hard to make it a movie car.

Icollector should be informed in regards to the false advertising, if it results in a sale it's fraud.

The buyer can always get his money back if it turns out it wasn't really screen used.

Just like David Copperfield did many eons ago.

In March, the magician bid $189,500 for a Batmobile he thought was used in the 1989 film "Batman." The car was actually one of five Warner Bros. promotional vehicles made for, but not used in, the film.

Not sold @ $9,500! I'm shocked it got that high! Seller should have taken the money and ran to the bank!

Not sold at 9k - 9500 would've been David's bid. You can hear his little 'click' on the audio stream immediately after every legitimate bid. If and when his items sell the price always reverts down one bidding increment to the last real bid. Disgusting.

Even if this body were a (heavily reworked, warped, damaged) screen used shell, rather than the Six Flags stunt vehicle we now know it is - it's missing an entire back end. With fresh clean, complete castings of the unmolested screen body available for ~10k, one would have to be out of their minds to pay more for this... thing.

So how does it become "not sold"?

Was there a reserve price that wasn't met or did the seller refuse to sell?

A good question... iCollector does have a 'reserve' function, but David seems to have stopped using it... He simply calls his lowest 'estimate' a reserve, so he can decide on the fly whether or not to actually sell each item. On occasion I've seen items bid past the reserve but on that day he felt he wanted more money so they were 'passed'. In this case, the 'reserve' was $250,000.00
