Hi all,

I’m looking for a 1st gen or 2 gen Mustang for my dad’s birthday. He loves to have a sports car. I discussed with my friends and they told that it's difficult to find a good one. I searched online and found this blog (http://www.serviceplus416.com/maintenance-tips/the-ultimate-guide-to-buying-a-classic-car) about things to consider before buying a classic car. I want to know more details about this. Please advice what all things I need to check before buying a used car.

Thanks in advance.

Well for Mustangs specifically, the most desirable is the original '65. Actually, I think there's a lot of them out there. You may want to look at an unrestored one and have it restored. The Mustang is one of the easiest cars to restore. After the '65 I would look at a Boss 302 or a Mach1. Stay away from the hatchback model, not sure what they were thinking with that.
