I'm surprised no one has scaled down the file you have sly to do a 3d printed version in a smaller 1/6 size already...

Lots of things missing in that file. No side mechanics, no interior at all, no gas cap on the top. Not to mention the rounded parts that should be square.

That's true... forgot about all that.

there are a couple other files out there with some decent details... would probably need to do fixes on most in some areas.

$750 is definitely reasonable for a 1/6 model, but that 750 goes towards a set of front tires for a drive-able one in my book.

Good point. And we're at the stage where we need to think about that kind of thing, aren't we.

Really having Batmobile withdrawal pain right now. Not many posts by my colleagues Vert and THEMAN to keep me alive. Come on you guys, I need a fix!!

Finished the roof project here and now only 14 more days of incarceration on this desert island before I can return to civilization and get back to work.

hey sly,
Still putting in 1-2 hours average per day when my time is figured. Sometimes 8-10 hours on a single day.
Fabricating steel parts and welding is labor intensive and is taking a lot of time,
especially in 90-98 degree and 80-90% humidity days.
Guess I could buy a water cooled wire feed welding machine.
Current work area includes frame, modifications, additions, bottoms plates, etc.
No photo-image worthy progress to report at this time.
Looking forward to your return and your return to your building. vertigo

Sorry for lack of posts to help you get through the days sly. I hope to have some more progress pics soon... I've mostly been getting the remainder of not-needed pieces off to start fabbing up the new sections. I also got a much more budget friendly brake system figured out and am piecing that together now.

Cool.

So, with the drivetrain plan you have, will that clutch slave cylinder need to be replaced? I guess I'm still fuzzy on how the transmission will work.

Nope, that all comes out with the 6speed setup, even the clutch and brake pedals come out. I have an auto wider brake pedal on the way to put in place. The clutch area behind the engine gets replaced with torque converter and 4L60E auto tranny.
