sly,
There's a '97 at a local junk yard that looks pretty good but they want too much for it. Time to try and haggle with them.
Have you tried eBay?
Are you looking for running or not running?
Bought my Dodge 3500 through Car Gurus.
There are also many online auction companies that specialize in damaged, salvaged, water damaged, etc
example:

Sorry to hear you're having second thoughts on your plan... everything looks SO great as-is!
I'm sure you'll be able to make up any "lost" time with the experience you have now.

I've found going through some of the WB media measurements that some specs were bloated by about 8% on average when checking against the real world known measurements of various pieces, such as the tires & wheels...
Using that reduction on the rest of the measurements gives me confirmation on the basic length and width I was getting where I noticed conflicts. That extra bloated file you started with didn't help things for you sly... I wanted to confirm a few more things to continue getting our vehicles spaced properly.
Could you shoot me what measurement you're getting for this dimension at 72-73%?
Basically us going with 46" tires, and the rest of the car in that scaled ratio, also brings the overall height of the car down about 4-5 inches, and Batfleck is at 6'4"... so anyone standing next to our cars in the 6' range or less will still give about the same size ratio to Batfleck next to the real deal car.

another little note... if you are set on using those black rhino Armory wheels since you got one rear really cheap... maybe consider using the Armory wheels for the rear, and then just ordering the Arsenal style wheels in 20x9.5 for the front. Since the actual b-mobile's wheels are difference in front and rear if you notice from those close up pics I posted earlier.
Also, to save shipping costs, have that other Armory rear sent directly to the widening place so you aren't shipping to you first, and you'll only have to ship your one wheels out to them... unless you have a good widening place nearby.
Is that one wheel you got the 8x165.1(8x6.5") bolt pattern?

Cool, I'm 6'1".

It's a little hard to judge because the model separates out into many different parts. But it looks like it's about 80" at 73% reduction from original model.

Good idea on the wheels. I only paid $90.00 for the one I got so if it doesn't work out then I'm not out much. But looking at the pictures I agree, Armory in the back and Arsenal in the front would look similar to the original.

No, it's 8x170. I think that pattern is for a Ford, so I will have to use an adapter.

Purchased a donor car today. They're delivering it on Thursday so I will be able to start playing with it. It's the '97 I mentioned earlier. It's a manual transmission though THEMAN, so I hope that's not a problem. They didn't have any automatics I was willing to consider.
btw, test drove some other Vettes while I was there and, coming from a Viper, man they are small! And I thought the Viper cockpit was tight.

congrats!
It's not really a problem, just a couple small things easier that we wouldn't have to swap out in an automatic... the rear transaxle and suspension you'll be able to sell pretty easily to recoup some cost too, along with every good body panel on the thing, seats, carpeting, interior panels, all that stuff that's still in good shape.
Yeah they are tight, but just right for what we need to start with.

So the height of the cockpit from the bottom of the car to the roof is 80" or 6'8"? Something is definitely off there. The whole actual batmobile height from the ground to the tip of the wings is under 64" and I have a rough estimate of 50" or less for the cockpit height from roof top surface to bottom underside of car... I would think the scaled down would come in under 40" and the C5 cockpit similarly measured should be around 43" total height, so a really close fit there too for our scaled-mobile.
