A little more progress today.
1. Sized and cut some pvc tubing to use for support ribs.
2. pre cut some fiberglass matting to shape and size.
3. sealed seems with clay. This worked pretty nicely, I was very happy with the result.
4. Put on first coat of parting wax

hey sly,
Looks like progress to me.
How many hours do you have in making this part. How many hours total will you have invested to produce this finished part?

I like the Black Rhino Armory rim for the DOJ. It looks military.
I had the opportunity to pick one up cheap. It's 20/12 so it will work for the Baha Claw 46/19.5 r20 I plan to use on the rear.

Finally finished the Passenger Side Front Box mold.
Now for the moment of truth, removing the mold from the plug...…..
Not bad. Parts came off the plug relatively easily. A little clean up work and it will be ready to produce the part. Bolted it back together for now.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I thought I would do something easy like that box to get me started. But it turned out to be a bit tricky. Several tight corners etc.
I have also done some work on the front clip and the rear clip already so I hope to have those progress pics soon. I will do the main body in four sections. 1. Front Clip 2. Rear Clip 3. Drivers door 4. Passenger door. The front clip is the largest single section.

Just a quick note on the above side box. If anyone else is using the do3d files, this box is not accurate to the real Batmobile. The do3d model has rounded the side of the box into one smooth curve while the real car shows three distinct flat faces on the side. Just an FYI.
