hey THEMAN,
Thanks for your observations on the Justice League RC from Mattel and the kind words.
"Going for a build similar to the RC is definitely an intimidating truck stance that will look cool..."
"Every time I see one of your pics with the fan in the front of the truck vert, I feel a strong 89/JL mashup vibe coming on."
I can't tell you how many times I have had those same feelings. vertigo

Studied the center bar system and put in 5 welding hours but not enough progress to make it photo-image worthy.

Pretty sure that was an early prototype/ proof of concept they brought out at one of the early toy fairs... Before they had production of all the parts started, like specific tires, so they used stuff available on RC market.

Put in a couple of welding hours and four more hours working on the proxy firewall pattern and layout.

Put in a couple of welding hours and four more hours working on the proxy firewall pattern and layout.
After finding several fitting problems I re-checked measurements and calculations. Corrected errors and cut proxy firewall accordingly.
Cut and fitted proxy passenger compartment plywood bottom.
Placed Sparco seats in place and tested sitting feel.
Measures 55" from back of passenger compartment to inside face of firewall.
Slightly skewed my dimensions to give me a 46" wide seats width. This gave me 4 inches between the two seats.

"After finding several fitting problems I re-checked measurements and calculations. Corrected errors and cut proxy firewall accordingly."
My firewall is an excellent example of why I use the partial proxy method frequently.
A lot depends on getting this firewall correct.
Any non-discovered errors here will have a cascading error effect.
Not just on the proxy firewall but on the overall layout of many other components.
A large area of concern for me at this time is the engine fit.
As it stands right now I have 30 linear inches of open center core in front of the firewall.

Did some wood proxy work today on possible dash structural layout in conjunction with seat/dash/firewall relationship.

Don't know how I missed all these posts but I've been enjoying catching up on your build. So you're going to do a two seater and eliminate the cannon? Will you keep all the other armaments?
