I am looking to start a 89 project (using a kit from Doug) looks like a tonne of work but FUN !!!! What is involved in choosing a chaissis - and why - what do I need to look for ... and what are some of the considerations... looking in my local classified ads there are three options? What would make you choose one over the other?
2003 lincon town car - http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?requestSource=b&adId=1115072971
1991 chevy Caprice - http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?requestSource=b&adId=1148921352
1993 s10 - http://www.kijiji.ca/v-engines-and-engine-parts/owen-sound/frame-and-or-motor/1161346396?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
Thoughts?
Starting a build SOON! - hopefully!

The LTC looks like a nice rolling frame. Advantage is you don't have to do the strip down work. Disadvantage is you will need to get a lot of other parts.
Caprice also looks nice. Big advantage is, for only $400 more it comes with a lot of things you are going to want. Engine, transmission, brake pedal, etc, etc. Plus, lots of people have used that platform for their build so information on it might be better.
S-10 Frame is going to be thicker and I'm not sure how the curvature and suspension attaching points would work. But probably could be made to work fine.
To me it's clear, the Caprice is the way to go.
