I like to build things and mostly from scratch as the end result is a little more rewarding for me. Here is how I plan to make the body of an 89 keaton car.
Gather my reference, which is ongoing
I want to use a 3d file, then make my slices and print out on paper at 1:1
Then transfer the paper to 1/2" plywood
Then fill in with foam core and then start glassing and shaping it.
I went to Tim's site and seen some useful info there
I have access to a CNC shop in town, I want to make the side mechanics out of aluminum (need more reference for those parts) as well as other parts including the guns. (non-firing of course)
I'll post every step of my build here. If you see anything I'm doing wrong or some details dont look right then please point them out to me. I want to get as accurate as I can with the 89 car.
3d files would be helpful or if anyone knows how to take a 3d model and "slice" it for cross-sections that would be great.

Sounds like you have a plan
Shaggy did a really good 3D model of the 89 that might work. I know others did full scale print outs of the "blue" batmobile blueprints and did something similar.
For the 30 cals, take a look at some of the online plans for how to make your own

I have a maya file but I don't have maya , only 3ds max and autocad. Neither will import .mb files
