i do not know how useful this info is because i have never used gel coat, but if it is like painting cars then i assume it is sorta the same process. this came to me when i was looking a tim's post where he had a problem with sevear orange peal. the same thing happend to me a while back when i was first learning to use primer. to help minimize the sevear orange peal effect; is to bring the air pressure down, in the gun or the paint flow up. this will give anyone much better results.
