Well my business is taking off even better then expected so hopefully I will be able to start on my Batmobile inspired car soon. I say inspired because I know that if its not exactly like original some guys on here (cough cough Mark) will probably jump my case because so much is different about it. I plan on updating the interior and making it more modern and smooth. Check this out for an updated interior

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/article/0,,2076_3155_269595883,00.html . How cool would that be giving readouts constantly. I thought about using a laptop and having someone write a program that could feed info to monitor screens.. but I think that Pioneer would make things so much easier. As far as wheels go I found these

http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/details.asp?wheelid=186&name=Chamber%20with%20Teflon®&style=3985&desc=1-piece%20painted%20alloy§ion=S# and think the black wheels look tough. I think you could even replace center with a custom made emblem or something. Check it out and let me know what other cool ideas or products you guys have found. For my jet engine I think I'm going to do something with fiber optics so it kinda has a glowing effect like burning coals almost. Then as I increase speed or push button (I haven't decided yet) have more and more fiber optics light up and give a red hot glow. Let me know what you think. I thought it might look cool to have some sort of transparent yellow and red and orange strips of film flapping around in exhaust to make it look like fire but still thinking on how to retract the strips so they are hidden and not just hanging when I don't have fans going in jet exhaust. Let me know what you guys think. Later.

The electronics screen could eacly replace the CD player from Returns without it even been known when the screen is in. The wheels are cool but you're going to have a hard time getting anyone here to agree that they would look good on the 89. If you were building the Animated Batmobile then yeah they would look great. Best of luck no matter what you do. but remember the "Cart and Horse" thing.

LOL... yeah yeah cart and horse. Got it. I still think I'll probably kill my horse for going to slow and throw it in the trunk after I strap a body kit to the cart. Well as far as the wheels go I really didn't like the wheels in Batman to begin with. I like that they were black, but thought the batman emblem looked like crap on them. Before I get jumped in an alley somewhere let me say that I've seen others on this forum state the same about the wheels. I plan on having a back seat in mine I think. I really like the idea of being able to give several people the chance to ride in the Batmobile. So I plan on having the Pioneer giving readings right on the dash instead of between the driver and passenger seats where tape player was mounted in original. If anyone has links to any cool steering wheels, gadgets, or gauges let em know. I found a LCD readout that fits on a MOMO steering wheel that is for race cars. It even has LEDs that show your decrease in speed while entering pit stop, but the thing was like $4500 without the steering wheel so doubt I'll get it.

Jack is exactly right about the cart before the horse thing.
I can't help but be reminded of the high school kid who is out shopping for which paper weight he is going to buy for his desk when he is a doctor with his own practice.
