Who has never *dug* the 1966 batmobile?
Maybe it's b/c I only got to see re-runs of the old tv series, but I can't seem to appreciate the car like other people.
I mean it's not like the car has something that no other car have or is out of the norm. Isn't it just some car with few ugly bat logos and orange stripes?
1989 Batmobile on the other hand is totally unconventional out of this world piece of machine!

From anonymous source:
"Desmond Llewellen (The Bond actor who played "Q") once said "Your favorite Bond actor is the one you saw first". This is quite true of the Batmobile. If your first exposure to Batman as a kid was the series, you are likely to be a big fan of the 66 (Which was filmed in 65, so how could the car be a 66?) But as a kid seeing the 89 for the first time (The first press photo for the film was Keaton standing in front of what looked like a jet, we didn't know WHAT to expect for the car back then and most were blown away.) the radical design was a pretty powerful image to ignore, making this the most extraordinary Batmobile that has ever been built thus far."
