Started the wiring.... at least enough of it to allow me to start it under its own power and run so it can be tuned.

As far as the engine being right behind the seats, I am making a detachable firewall with a double layer of sound deadening material to separate the cab from the engine. Hopefully, it will make the ride bearable since the exhaust setup I built is LOUD.

Really taking some shape now... I like it.

That 2nd pic of the wiring looks like you going to build a chair in the middle...
And the steering setup looks interesting... Im sure you had a tough time figuring that one out by the looks of it. Hope it holds up and works perfectly...

Impressive build so far, I'm mind blown over how you managed to do the steering stuff with chains and all

First, some news.
Sadly, I have to put my build away for a few years while I move to Japan (military). But, my build is at a point to be driveable.

Worse news: I NEED HELP!
Namely from those of you who have succeeded in building your Tumblers. I've completed my steering system, and it works great... in the air. As soon as I put it on the ground, I cannot steer properly. There is WAY too much play in the wheels. By the time I steer fully left to fully right, my wheels are max toe in. I figured out it's in the linkage on the arms but no matter what I've tried (I even welded all the possible slip points) i cannot get the play out.
Any suggestions would be helpful. And I am time constrained to get this thing into storage.

Maybe this will help I’ll try to explain it as simple as I can
The original Machine had a base plate of prefamulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two sperving bearings run a direct line with the panametric fam.
The lineup consists simply of six hydrocopic marzel vanes so fitted to the ambiphasient lunar wane shaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented. The main winding was of the normal lotus-O deltoid type placed in panendermic semi-boloid slots of the stator. Every seventh conductor being connected by a non-reversible tremi pipe to the differential girdle spring on the up end of the grammeters. Moreover, whenever fluorescent score motion is required, it may also be employed in conjunction with a drawn reciprocation dingle arm to reduce sinusoidal depleneration. The retro-incabulator has now reached a high level of development and its being successfully used in the operation of milferd trenyans. Its available soon, wherever Rockwell automation products are sold.
