| I have a big decision as far as power train. I got guys saying to run a real turbine. Just wish I knew if it would be a pain tin the arse to drive.

Jupiterbandit you would have to be very committed to consider using a turbine setup, as opposed to say a Chevy V8 powertrain build or similar.. Particularly if you’re going down the road of constructing a registered vehicle.
With that said; it can be done and would be an awesome way to go!.
You would have no doubt seen examples of this online etc.

Regarding your enquiry about dash setups. It will depend on which way you wish to go;
Option 1. - Movie correct ‘aircraft style’ dash.
Without even a base plate mould to work with as mentioned, you will most certainly have your work cut out for you. It can be done, however you will have to start from scratch in this case. I could draft up a detailed list of what you’ll need, however examples of this can be seen by researching previous builds here on CLTC.
Option 2. Fitting a dash from an existing roadworthy vehicle.
This option at least gives you a huge head start as it will have;
1. Steering column & mountings.
2. Ignition barrel etc.
3. Upper and front Firewall section.
4. Pedals and mountings.
5. Existing Wiring Harness.
6. Master Cylinder/s, booster etc
7. Instrument Gauges and mountings etc.
8. Front & upper Dashpad.. and more.
Keeping in mind that you can only use the upper section of the firewall as the lower section will have to be cut off and a new lower section, foot well, floor, kick plates and transmission tunnel etc will have to be fabricated into the existing donor dash module. It will also need to be cut, modified and fabricated to fit your existing cockpit and frame.
This is the way I went with the Stealthmobile.. I would have preferred a movie correct dash, particularly on the appearance front, but it was a rather laboriously time consuming task to collect and marry it all together.
There is no easy way, all options will take a lot of thought, design, time and fabricating.
Regarding your chassis considerations mentioned. i.e. your existing racecar chassis? Or 95 chevy impala chassis?.
Without seeing your racecar chassis it’s a little hard to advise accordingly however I feel as though you will have more success in using an existing 95 Impala chassis, stretched to suit your build.
Post up photo/s of your racecar chassis if you can and we can further look into it and hopefully be of some help here with your decision.
Keep in mind there are a lot of far more knowledgeable existing builders than myself within this group that could also advise you accordingly with some photos as a reference.

Very nice build to read through. Some great pictures here and detailed information.
Good fabrication work, and I like the consideration for weight balance and center of gravity on your frame.
I used to drive a Porsche boxster, great handling car and also kept all the weight central makes sense I hope to go the same direction.
Just starting my quest for an 89 officially. I'll be following along with your build!
