hey sly,
Are you still planning to use an Auto-Twirler to handle the movement and handling of your DOJ body during it's construction? vertigo

After talking with THEMAN I think I’m going to try a different method. If this doesn’t work the auto twirler is still an option

Little update. I am back in the real world and starting to get back to work. I have ordered all the materials needed to lay the main body section. Supplies should arrive next week, hopefully.
Today I sanded the two inner jet air intake plug molds, cut them in half, and applied a layer of epoxy resin to protect the styrofoam. Next will be body work. Sorry didn't seem pic worthy at this time, but I will post a pic after the body work is done.

I've been battling an illness now, seems like it's always something, but did get the supplies that were needed and got to do some work on the body today.
As you may know, I've been playing around with ideas on how to lay the fiberglass into the mold. Well I got the mold all bolted together (3 boxes of bolts) and now I think I can get to all the areas without the need of rotating the body.
Today I built a little cart to cradle the body and allow me to move it around so I can get the cars out of the garage.
Did some minor repairs on the exterior of the mold. There is one larger problem spot where the front side meets the rear side. I didn't do a good job of molding this. But it wasn't as bad as it looked at first. I took this picture of what it looked like but I forgot to take a picture of it after the repair. You'll just have to trust me for now.
Next step will be to start sealing the seems with molding clay.

Another beautiful day today and I was able to make some nice progress. Sealed all the seems on one half of the mold. May not seem like much but there are a lot of sections fastened together to make this mold. Took about eight hours to do half the body. Hope to get the other half done tomorrow. Starting to think about pre cutting the fiberglass to make laying it go quicker. Once the parting solution is applied the first layer of fiberglass needs to be laid that same day.

hey sly,
Happy to see you making progress.
It has taken a long time to get where you are but will all soon be worth it.
I admire your persistence, drive, and attention to detail, as do, many others who have followed your progress.

Thanks my friend.
Finished sealing the mold seems on the entire body yesterday, ready to precut some fiberglass. Unfortunately the weather report says rain all week. We'll have to see if I can catch a break anytime.

Got a little break in the weather today so started making reusable patterns for precutting the fiberglass. Pre cutting it will make the fiberglass laying procedure go faster. Using an old tarp to make the patterns. Seems to be working well so far, it is flexible enough to get into tight areas but it won't change shape. The patterns for most of the cabin and front area are complete. Still need to do the sides and underneath areas.
Here's a pic of the front middle pattern being created.
