How big are you looking to print on a regular basis? Complex geometries with undercuts requiring support material?
Still studying and learning 3D printing technology. Don't really know how much of my existing project building it would eventually replace.
Been looking at possibly a dual head Modix, but need to see it operating in person first...

Don't go with the Modix.. had the Big60 for a year and got rid of it... Took forever to assemble... and I mean weeks.
It is very touchy... constantly calibrating. When it prints, it does so beautifully... but we were only able to keep it up and running 30% of the time.

So, what did you replace the Modix with?
In your opinion, what is the best 3D all round large size printer?

cold again today - in the 60's BRRRR! Now that's FL cold...
So I started designing a 3D printable starter cover for the nose inlet (RAT). So, what's interesting is that the prop makers did not use the generator cover that is originally part of the Vulcan RAT, but rather opted to adapt a nose case starter cover off a Viper JATO engine from another bomber. The Viper starter cover looks a little more sinister with a slight "droop" to the nose. I'm leaving a slightly flattened portion at the tip so a mini camera can be installed if desired, or it can be faired over and rounded out if not...

He,he.
It always makes me laugh when there is a little snow, or God forbid ice, in some of the southern states and they show all the cars going in the ditch on the news. Up here we're going like, "Oh come on, you got a quarter of an inch of snow, we had that thickness of FROST on our windshields this morning." 
Two more weeks and I'll be in Hawaii until April. So what do I have to worry about.

I had the V2 of the Big 60 printer. Sent you a PM with the details.
Overall one thing you'll need to consider if you are 3D printing parts for external or in-cabin use on a vehicle you'll need to think about them as pretty much masters that you would create molds off of. Or items that you will coat with some kind of resin hardener.
The reason I say this is that pretty much any non-industrial printer will print at best PETG. Some can get ABS to print well in an FDM environment with temperature control but it is really difficult (warping, adhesion to the bed, cooling of layers during print).
My business has our own printer farm and work with other printing outsourcers and we create parts that are in an automotive environment (i.e. harsh interior temperatures in an Arizona summer). PETG when exposed to the elements just does not hold up. It's thermal deflection isn't high enough and will soften.
We use PETG for brackets and parts that will be tucked away behind the dashboard. But anything that is exposed to extreme heat needs to be something like Nylon printed on an industrial SLS style printer, and ABS if injection molded.

I’m starting my build and trying to get some parts together. The seats are hard to get. I have a 3D printer. Can I twist your arm and buy that file from you?
