Already have a 4' x 4' CNC torchmate plasma table.
All I have to do to convert it into a router table is substitute a Z axis with router mount for the arc height control unit.

Placed a copy of this post here for anyone planning to and or building a Bat Vehicle.
This is the best introductory book I have read on 3D printers.
CNC-Designing 3D Printers - Genuine or cheap parts.
by Neil Rosenburg
"Why are genuine products/parts more expensive? It is often the case that only the originating inventor/maker truly understands the design intent of fine details. It is equally true that these fine details are frequently the "magic" that makes it work right. The extra care plus the cost of development, testing, refinement are built into the true cost of the product.
WHY COPY CATS ARE RISKY
A copy cat producer's primary motivation is to make something as cheaply as possible.
Their engineers may not fully understand why certain features, dimensions, materials, and etc. were designed as they were in the genuine article. They also may not be skilled enough to accurately reverse engineer the target product. It may even be that their own vendors cut corner for the very same reasons."

The more complex and tolerance dependent the part/assembly is, the more likely you are likely to get burned with a copy cat or cheap similar part/assembly. Usually, materials, dimensions, alignments, function, integration, all suffer.

X-MAX is what I have - just AWESOME!!!

I will comment that the only thing that I might have a complaint on is the build plate leveling thumbscrew locking wingnuts. When you level the build plate, you make finite vertical adjustments using a thumbscrew. In theory, once adjusted to the correct height, you "lock" the thumbscrew position with the wing nut. The issue is - that when you tighten the "locking" wing nut, it moves the leveling bolt ever so slightly due to the clearances in the major/minor thread diameters/pitches in the thumbscrew, which effectively changes the vertical position of your build plate. ARG!

But none to worry - If you do happen to go out and buy a X-MAX (and I highly recommend it!), I have modeled some PETG thumbscrews that have a plain old M4-.70 nylon lock nut inserted to act as the locking device, so the build plate leveling is now a true set-n-forget op...
