Hey Everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. I am currently building a Hybrid Batmobile. I don't mean that it's electric and gas, but that it has features from several different batmobiles. I promise I will not try to make it look like an illegitimate bastard child. Since I'm new I cant start a new thread on the builds but soon I will post some progress pics.
I have been a huge Batman fan since I was 10 and saw the Keaton mobile on the big screen. I have my degree in auto repair and refinishing and worked and managed several body shops. I have some restorations and when my last project car was scrapped due to severe structural rust I decided to build a movie car. It was between and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon accurate van and a Batmobile. While I appreciate and respect anyone who has built a car form scratch or a kit, I wanted to do something unique. I found a few concept designs online and contacted the artists. They were more than happy to share the measurements and renderings with me to start the build.
I have been working on it for the past 4 years. You know, life has other plans than your hobby...
I look forward to chatting with everyone here and I hope you like what I do! If you don't, well keep it to yourself. LOL
