I can buy a '82 Chevrolet Impala with a 305 V8 AUT.
Is this a good car to use the chassis from to build the '89 Batmobile on?

Never have built one, but I think you may be on the right track there.

Hopefully a 'proper' builder or someone who knows better could chime in here?

Good luck with your plans.

Yeah, that would be great to get some more reactions here to help me out to decide what to do.
I want to build an '89 Batmobile as identical as possible to the original one.

I have decided not to continue with buying the car, because the seller is pretty rude.
Other reason is that I found out that the original chassis was a '69 Impala.

When I build a movie car, I want it to be identical to the original one.

Good luck with that. There are guys here that have been looking for some of the original parts for decades. Do a search for side mechanics for example.

I already found the perfect donor car, but the add was from last year.
But it shows that it's still possible to get one.

A '69 Chevrolet Impala with a 350 V8 AUT for $1500,-...
