"I was their number one son, and they treated me like number 2".
It's equally (visually) as good a car as the Chevy Impala based Batmobile. I would like know which year Oldsmobile Cutlass was used for the chassis?
I understand that it was spliced with an ambulance chassis and modified.

From Andy Smith.
"I don't know if you recall a TV series called Dempsey and Makepeace, but in one of the episodes they jump a big pink Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible, this is actually the basis for car #2. We found out, well into the build that the rear of the chassis was twisted, so the rear of this car was replaced with one from an ambulance the vehicle guys had lying around."

Discovered that the Oldsmobile chassis for the #2 car was most likely a 1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale convertible, registration HKM 260Y
Here are the details.....
The vehicle details for HKM 260Y are:
Date of Liability 01 05 1986
Date of First Registration 23 05 1983
Year of Manufacture 1975
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 7459CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour YELLOW
Vehicle Type Approval
I know Andy Smith said that the car was a 'Pink Oldsmobile Cutlass', however this is the only Oldsmobile used in the TV series "Dempsey and Makepeace" I can find recorded. The car may have been repainted Pink, or else Andy's memory could be wrong.
Anyhoo. The car featured in two episodes ("The Burning" Series 3 episodes 1 and 2). It can be seen 'jumping' (more of a crash) in Episode 2 called "The Burning - part 2".

Although the car is featured throughout this episode, kindly skip forward to 41:55
Who knew this vehicle would end up as the basis for the #2 Batmobile ???? Funny thing is that I can still call up the details of this car on DVLA using the registration (Govt driving authority in the UK).
I could be wrong about all this, so feel free to correct me please.
