It always appears, in the movies at least, that the rear end is constantly yawing and wobbling back and fourth. How do the replicas handle?

well, from what i've heard and seen...its like driving a limo from the back seat. Most of the guys putting these cars together spend a lot of time on the suspension to achieve the best ride and handling as possible.

Also motor placement to far back will make the front light vise versa
put it smack in the middle it should handel well

Based on my racing history I would say they all vary based on builder and what's used. The body/shell is just a pretty cover, it's all down to what was used and pieced together.

Here's a couple of videos of them in motion. Other than the heavy blind spots and driving from the back seat there's not much similarities across all of the builds.
