Might not be as bad as it looks. Most resins/catalyst don't stick very well to plastic.
I don't think plumbers putty would provide any strength and without a catalyst it would take a very long time to harden in the closed spaces.
Bondo might be a viable filler material.
Would have to be tested on plastic and sampled for exothermic performance.

Man, I'm jealous of your nice knobs. You sure you don't want to make a couple more sets to sell?

I wish I had the time but those knobs are labor intensive.
A local machine shop is probably going to be your easiest route. * * *
There are also custom knob makers on line. * * *
If they want too much money your might just break down and buy a small metal lathe from Grizzley tools.
Around 1,000.oo for a bench top lathe that would do most lathe machining Bat Vehicle projects.
They also have combination lathes with milling heads. Very versatile tool.
What you would pay to get the knobs machined and a couple of other small jobs would pay for a bench top lathe.

Complete paper catalog is also online.

I have a small desk lathe I will proba ly be trying out on the lower parts since the lamp knobs arent exactly right anyway... If I can knock out some extras I will, but I'm also gearing up on the 3d print side for another option, so will see which works out first.
On the putty front, I wasnt referring to regular putty, the two part knead together stuff cures fine in confined space and even under water, plus cures as strong as metal, so great for structural stuff. I've used it to fix cracked cast iron piping.

Two part putty seems viable. How hot does it get when kneaded together?

You feel it get warm when activating, but it doesn't get hot.

Here is a nice pictorial scale comparison of three batmobiles.

I would not use that pic for any scale comparisons... non are in the same scale, even the figure isn't correct scale to any one b-mobile.
for instance the tumbler compared directly with the 89...
just for some numbers... BvS-mobile front/rear tires are 40/52 inches tall, Tumbler's front/rear tires are 30/44 inches tall.

I really like that pic of the '66 racing the '89. I'm not sure why.
