I have a set of hood latches for sale if anyone is interested. I bought a 10 sets of them a few years ago from that supplier that requires a minimum order, and have one left over. Please PM me if you're interested. I have a picture but can't seem to post it here. $35 bucks shipped anywhere in the US.

Hey Matt! Loved your video about the DOJ Batmobile in the Wal-mart commercial. Myself and a few others are building this car as you may know so yes, we would ABSOLUTELY love to see your pix and any other video you have. Please contact me.

Hey gang. LOTS of movement lately on the side mechs. All of the 3D printed parts are now cleaned up. About half are molded, the other half are on their way. There were two small detail pieces that I sent off to shapeways and they should be here in about a week.

I HATE cleaning 3d printed parts, by the way. Makes me crazy.

I am posting LOTS of progress pictures and some write ups over on my facebook page for the build. Please go there to check it out, and be sure to like and subscribe and all that stuff. It's just so much easier for me to update from my phone on fb rather than on forums. Easier to have it all in one place. Hope to have a little video up soon, but honestly the pics and various write ups really tell the whole story.

Been following along with your page and this past weeks progress has been coming along.

3D printing does look to be more difficult to smooth

I did the same thing.. professional shop to do the chassis stretch... My chassis just got back from the shop yesterday.. today is body mounting

The Engine was moved back the same amount as the stretch to give some room for a radiator and reduce some of the nose weight

Why does the nose weight need to be reduced? Hows everyone mounting the body?

Minijokerguy,

You just set the engine back 2+feet, essentially reducing "nose weight", not that it really matters! It's not like you are running for pinks down on Front Street in Philly...and need to maximize traction.

Read the build logs for mounting schemes - some better than others...

I was just about to message you about that, I have seen the build logs including the ones in the members section but nothing really gets into specifics about the additional metal work, also I believe I seen a build or two where some of the guys had welded complete frame setups for the body mount while others had what appeared to be posts. If you can tell me which specific posts or hit me with a link if you dont mind, that would be appreciated.
