"Right now I am working on reproducing the geometric line plate at the bottom of the steering wheel. The plate is already on the unit so I wonder if they just turned it over and etched the pattern on the back. I may give that a try. I have copied the pattern from a picture of the steering wheel, sized it to fit the plate, and have reproduced it in Fusion 360. My concern is that the plate is awfully thin to try and etch with the equipment I have. Will need to do some experimentation."
For the geometric line plate: What colors were used for the back ground and lines?
It looks like it was covered with 1/8* plexiglass.
If plexiglass was used were the lines etched/engraved on the bottom side of the plexiglass?

Update on my progress with the bottom pattern.
I am still working on it. I have no knowledge of using CAD software so this is a great learning experience for me. Making progress however. Have learned how to do much of it but still haven't got it perfect like I want.

OK, I think I've got the steering wheel bottom pattern reproduced in 3d. This picture is to etch the pattern on the bottom of a piece of Plexiglas, that's why the pattern is reversed. It could also be etched on the top of a metal plate fairly easily. Now I need to obtain some etching router bits.

| As I showed on my wheel, I merely flipped it over... Cnc etching it would require a precise small machine. Since I was already planning to make the stickers for the switch labels, was just going to attempt a sticker here as well just to test.

Awesome job on the knobs sly, I will try this route as well... I've been hunting down and found a couple possible c5 & c6 cars I may start my base on soon, but just had a mid 80s black firebird t-tops car fall into my hands last month, so all the parts are starting to arrive for its true calling. 
Still waiting on my final steering wheel Rizoma hub piece to arrive though... Building a whole kitt seems to be a faster endeavor than getting some of these pieces.

Yep, it's aluminum... I did shoot the heat gun on it for a little, then used a good knife blade to nicely work it up without bending. Definitely a thin piece to be careful with.
I just got my package finally on the clutch case guard (hub), and will go back and find exactly where it came from... but I had some back and forth with the folks and had to order the gold version as it was the only one left at rizoma in italy. This explains why it took over a month to get here I guess... and luckily the online pics were misleading, because the "gold" was merely the base piece and what arrived was the correct top piece in black. And with that here it is!
On the font, I'll grab that for you too once I get to the home bat-computer... Really I was just going to PM you two main participants out here the graphics file once I'm done with the sizing adjustments for my wheel. Now that my hub is here I will get back on the finishing wheel touches. I also have a reasonable grant wheel base I'm trying to integrate for easier/stronger column attachment, but also working an OEM vette wheel base to see if I can wire up some of the switch and paddle functions through the stock clockspring wiring...

On a chassis development note... a full frame chassis jig just became available to me, so once I get that to the shop I'll be ready to get a vette chassis in to set it up and get the suspension pieces going.
The jig will allow me to easily space the chassis out for larger requirements some are leaning towards and still develop my smaller 3/4 sizing in the same way.
