Wondering if anyone has used/tried C5 Corvette drivetrain on 89 build?
Few things I'm wondering about...
torque tube being bigger dia. then reg. driveshaft.
Transmission is in the rear of car and may come into the interior.
Plus the width of the transmission if it does..
Anyway if someone has tried to use it in the past, info or comments would be great.

Here is the C5 Corvette Chassis you can see the transmission size and layout..
I've found company the makes Airbag shock for C6 corvette. Waiting on answer if it'll work on the C5.

Ok after looking into the setup no I want to say NO and here is why.
Cleveland power and performance has been a big help and getting me specs I needed. The rear transmission on C5 and up Corvette from tip to rear tire centerline is about 24 inches and about 13 inches wide. The torque tube is fixed between the engine and rear transmission. So when you add big rear tires the height of transmission will sit higher. This, in turn, will make the engine sit higher in chassis.

On to the Corvette suspension, no one makes any type of air-ride set-up for C5 and up Corvette. You would have to do some type of custom pushrod suspension to make it work. There are a couple videos on youtube where people did custom air setup. They will not sell a kit or post photos of the conversion. On top of that it only moved around 2 inches.

Here is a pushrod suspension from Lambo.
