sly,
"So, do you think it's worth it compared to the Mobius model? Your comparison before showed that they are both about the same size. And looking at that picture i see some great detail, like the side mechanics, but I also see some things that are not as good, like the front gun turret and the front clamps."
More importantly, do you think it is worth it when you consider the totality of your present information?
Is there any information that this model can really contribute to your build as you perceive it, especially since you have the computer model.
I have all the models, including the computer model, except for the Hot Toys 1:6.
If closer details are needed in the DOJ build one must turn their attention to the available photo-images.
Their are now thousands on the internet covering the DOJ/Justice League from every external aspect.
By the way, why do you think the computer model does not have the side mechanics? vertigo

Began the physical tear down of my donor vehicle and spent most of the next 16-hours on the process.
Proved to be more difficult to remove the heavy duty steel bed than I predicted.
The bed was 1/4 inch thick steel and fastened to the frame with welded 3/4 " thick steel plates.
Drained the fuel tank and purged the tank with continuous pressurized CO2.
Used a reciprocating saw with extreme cutting Diablo metal cutting blades to sever the plates through.

Sly,
“When I had a donor frame I was considering leaving the motor on the
end it's mounted to now, thus the front becomes the back and the back
becomes the front. Then all you need is a V-Drive and you don't need
to do much with the motor. But I only had a rolling frame so not
really sure if that idea was practical. What do you think?”
I carefully evaluated this method and concluded that it was way too
much work for what you get. Installing the engine, transmission, and
V-drive are a lot easier than moving front and rear end suspension
around.
Originally, I was thinking along the lines of full-size and movie
correct but then I decided to go street legal. I accepted that I would
have to skew this Bat Vehicle enough to fit within the 8’-6” maximum
allowable width to run it on the street.
My donor’s rear axle with dually wheels/tires mounted is exactly
8-feet wide. The combined tire measurement is 20-inches for each set
of dually tires. The wheelbase is 140-inches. It is almost like I had
planned these specifications into my donor selection.
Dramatically speaking, “After I committed my first skew on this build
and was able to fully accept giving up total movie correctness, I have
noticed how easy it has become for me to skew again, and again, with
less and less regret.”
Skewing in art and sculpture in particular:
If something is skewed, it is changed or affected to some extent by a
new or unusual factor, and so, is not expected, correct, or normal.

Are you are thinking about building a 1:1 1995 Batman Forever Batmobile?

Only 6 left in stock - order soon.
Ships from and sold by ModelToyCars.
Based on the legendary DC Comics character, the film Batman Forever was directed by Joel Schumacher and starred Val Kilmer as Batman. This movie was the third of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Batman series, at the time. With a claimed maximum speed of 330 mph and the remarkable ability to climb straight up walls, the Batman Forever vehicle is one of the most famous BATMOBILES of all time. To accentuate the fabulous lines of this car, the engine and wheels were indirectly lit so that they appeared to glow blue. Our 1:18th scale model features remarkable details, from the swooped sky-high tail fins to the shark-like grille that struck fear into the hearts of bad guys all over Gotham City. Batman fans will surely love this extraordinary model!

Reviewed my collection of information as it relates to my use of a Dodge Ram 3500 as my donor vehicle choice.
Similar transparant photo-images are found on line for most vehicles and frames and are quite useful for studying many relational aspects of a potential donor vehicle. Similar research may be of benifit to anyone planning to and/or actually building a Bat Vehicle. vertigo

Hi Vertigo.
I'm thinking about a batmobile in the future, and also attempting to do it on a budget. I know your original post is a few years old now but I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thanks!! Its so refreshing to see step by step information listed down in a very practical and pragmatic way.
Everybody's priorities with the build are different. They will want bodies made of different materials, different donors and powertrains, and even different scales, so pre-bought plans will always have limitations. Your DIY approach is definitely a lot of work but tbh, my viewpoint is, if you cant even do that, what hope do you have of finishing as massive a task as building a batmobile from scratch!
Anyway thanks again, from a [hopefully one day] UK batmobile builder

Welcome to the forum legoguy,
Pretty much enough information is available on this forum to build any Bat Vehicle.
First question: Do you have a building space available to build your Bat Vehicle in or a plan to acquire a building space?
Without a useable building space 90% of Bat Vehicles are dead before they even begin. Some who declare their plan to build a Bat Vehicle, without solving the building space problem, will struggle on for years before they admit defeat and abandon their dreams of a Bat Vehicle build.
STEP ONE: Where will you build you Bat Vehicle?
STEP TWO: What Bat Vehicle do you truly want to build and own the most?
The easiest Bat Vehicle to build is the one that you truly want to own the most.
Anything less than building the Bat Vehicle that you truly want to own the most means you will always be making excuses for settling for something less. Passion and drive for a build that was not your most desired choice with suffer significantly.
My recommendation is to chose the Bat Vehicle that you want to own the most. vertigo
