that's what i thought, it would be just like a gas pedal even moving in the same direction!!  i just haven't seen anyone do it on their builds.  maybe i'll be the first!!!

I realize this topic has been dormant for nearly five months, but I just got here and everything I've read so far has been helpful (nothing more so parts-wise than this thread). I wondered something, I was looking into alternate parts for a future Tumbler build, and I found a light that I think might be suitable (and more powerful than the fog-lights listed. There are 2 inch HID conversion units (without measurements I best guessed the Tumbler's lights to between 2 and 3 inches. Anyone wanna chime in and tell me if they think this might be a decent alternate light that might just lend to making a Tumbler a little closer to street-legal?

One thing killing me is, what rear end they used???? how the heck do you fit 2 wheels on each rear unless you use a dually and you can use a dually with super swampers! so how the heck did they fit 2 huge tires on the rear end? if someone knows or can explain it please do so or provide a picture or a makeshift drawing so I can get the idea.

Ok, been stuck for the longest time on the rear rims. Im going to use 16.5x12 rims and i still have issues finding someone who can actually make them for me. Any links or contacts i can get of someone who can help me past this hurdle. I got the main chassis, front control arms, engine, trans, rear axle, and front wheels all set. Need those rear rims and ill be back on the fast track to completion.

great info guys! one company I use for building off road wheels is trailworthyfab. we use 16.5x 9.75 military beadlocks to recenter for whatever backspacing we are looking for. its to bad they are only 9.75 wide because its not to bad to do

I found a guy to build some one ton Chevy duel wheels the budd style in 17’’ x 10 he has the 16.5 x12 blank rims with no Center’s for about $55 ea he said he doesn’t have access to the 16.5 centers or 16’’ centers the 17 x 10 he (Greg) at wheelsnowinc said they would have to build them in house for about $500 ea pretty expensive to me i think but they do make the super swamper tires in that rim size that are close so it would be maybe a way to go if you were trying to cut the width of your tumbler down some you could shave about 4’’ or so off width right there to make it more street legal I hope this helps

While I have been searching the Internet in almost all my spare time lately sourcing parts for my Tumbler build here are a few things I have found I for sure have found that the original tumblers built use the 9 inch ford rear end with floating hubs I also found the correct brake calipers and rotors used I found them at Howe racing i’m very familiar with this company because I used to do some short track racing I am also 100 percent positive on the break pedal and master cylinder set up used on the Tumbler And sparco racing seats
