hey sly,
Here is something interesting for you.
Mounting tires with starter fluid.
Here is a method used by some off roaders and many others to mount tires.
This is not a method recommended by anyone due to the danger and liability issues associated with the method.
Most use the disclaimer: For Informational Purposes Only
Here is a YouTube video for mounting the 44" inch Super Swamper with starter fluid.

There are thousands of videos that show the starter fluid method to mount all kinds of tires on line.

Hey sly,
Glad to hear you will soon be back in action.
Do you have any projections for your build over the next few months
that you hope to accomplish? vertigo

I plan to do the gun turret when first when I get back. I think that should go pretty quickly. Then I think I will experiment with using one of the side boxes as a mother mold to make molded fiberglass side boxes. I would like to have as much of the rear done as possible so I can paint it for display this Halloween. After that I will do some more experimenting with fiberglass if the weather holds. This winter I will begin laying down the frame work in steel. My goal will be to have the frame and suspension done by next summer.

hey sly,
Decided to take a day off from Tumbler building and did a little comparative research between the DOJ Batmobile, Dodge Ram 1500, and Doge Ram 3500 using three 1/25th scale models.
One interesting note. With a size reduction to 83% of the full size DOJ, the models tend to indicate that the dashboard and front steering of a Dodge Ram 1500 would line up with those of the reduced DOJ. vertigo

For some reason I can't get any pictures to display on this MacBook. Anyway, You know my reduction is to 90% and even at that I think the cockpit is just barely able to be 2 seats. 83% seems like a large reduction to me.

Finally home. Will get back at it soon. The weather is beautiful here now, I had better take advantage of it before it turns and we start getting those late August 100+ degree days.

Made the machine guns this weekend.
Of course they still need some detail work, finishing and painting. But you can use your imagination. I think there will be plenty of room in these when made from metal to make them sim fire with a kit that can be found on the internet.
Next I will make the base and then the mechanism that they connect too and finally get them installed on the car. Hope to have all that done by next weekend.

hey sly,
Looking great. Are the guns 1:1 or did you reduce their size any?
